The Industry Problem

Exposed or protruding drain, waste and vent pipes on building sites are prone to damage as a result of a handful of common scenarios. The pipes are damaged when tripped over by workers or as materials are moved around the site. They are often Broken pipekicked, hammered or at best sawn off to reduce their height to level with the concrete slab.

These exposed and or damaged drain, waste or vent pipes are now open to sawdust, broken brick pieces, concrete dust and building material falling into them during construction. After this loose material is exposed to moisture or rain, the damp material will eventually dry and harden. The result is blockages which are often only discovered when the building is completed, occupied and the pipes are in everyday use. There is also an associated environmental impact in surrounding waterways.

Templug is a simple blue “plug” which sits in the pipe and is glued to the concrete once the pipe is cut off at slab level. The Templug product is applied immediately after the concrete slab dries, prior to work commencing.
